TGT 109 On Topic: Cheating

Cheating. Seems simple enough, don’t do it. But we manage to make it complicated enough to take up a whole hour. And if we do say so ourselves, it was an interesting hour. For those that follow along on the bgg thread (that’s http://TabletopGameTalk.com/bgg) you won’t find an input thread for this one. Chris comes up with some excuses as to why, but really, he just forgot until it was too late.

A short interesting article on cheating (that we mention early on): https://mindtheethos.com/2016/08/14/the-psychology-of-cheating-why-do-people-cheat-in-multiplayer-games/

  1. While I prefer playing games without an iPad, I’m so happy I can play an app and not have the opportunity to cheat. It’s too tempting, when you’re playing game, to fudge a little bit. You can’t do that with an app. I have to agree with Chris. When you cheat to win you don’t feel like playing the game anymore. Losing within the rules of the game is why you keep coming back.
